May I suggest you include instructing walkers on our three longstanding series of historical point-of-contact information PLAQUES. Not many seem to realise 3 levels of government sponsor these, the HS&MBC series created after the Great War, the OHF series from the mid ’50s (with confusing ever -changing sponsor lines), and the LPL series for 40 years. Our first was c 1956 federally and not sure provincially but the Historical Society files should give dates as they oversaw so many.
Plaque shapes and colours have been consistent however. And the Fed and Ontario ones appear in other communities, giving a sense of continuity as one travels. (Senior series are internet searchable, but no photos. Hope you will home in on them in your promtional materials.
[A couple of goofs - wrong date on the LPL Sites on the flats re the RIver renaming; east London instead of London East on that one at the former Town Hall; and the wrong month of of the arrival of Simcoe, Talbot, Givins et al at the Forks to "found" this community. March2 , not in February as stated on the Old
Courthouse lawn one.]
Great idea and an enhancement of the ACO’s traditional Geranium architectural series.
